Pineapple Shake

Pineapples are one of the best tropical fruits that you can consume, and the best way of enjoying them is fresh. You can easily bring a whole pineapple home and then cut and break it down into portions.

With a very high amount of Vitamin C, 100 gm. pineapple contains only about 50 Kilo Calories, and that makes it perfect for those times when you want to eat something rich in vitamins but not too heavy.

Adding almond milk to it increases the benefits to the max, as almonds contains high amount of Vitamin B complex (especially Riboflavin) and Vitamin E.

Dates are powerhouses of energy, and they are high in fiber. They contain a good combination of vitamins and minerals, and are considered to be great for dieters because they keep you full for a long time.

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 pineapple
  • 4 Medjool dates
  • 400 ml. almond milk
  • 1 cup crushed ice

Procedure:

Peel and core the pineapple. For this, at first, cut both ends of the pineapple, and then skin it. You would then have to remove the thick skin on the sides of the pineapple, and with a paring knife, remove the “eyes” around the pineapple. Once done, remove the core of the pineapple. Now your pineapple is ready to be sliced. Wash the pineapple first.

Then, cut the pineapple into small chunks and set aside. In a blender, add the Mejdool dates and pineapples, and blend till smooth. Add the crushed ice and almond milk to this, and blend again till the consistency is to your liking. Remove and pour in tall glasses and serve.

This recipe ideally makes two drinks, and it is advised to drink this fresh. You can also pre-blend the pineapple and dates, and later on, add the almond milk and ice just before serving.
